Freedom: a short poem
I said
“I want to know freedom”
so I took down my fences
(the ones that kept me safe)
and wondered then,
how to find Home

So much said in these few lines! Excellent. I commented on Floss’s post that some people would find the freedom I have daunting and so for them it ceases to be a freedom at all x
I totally understand that. Too much choice can definitely be overwhelming
Home is where the heart is. Where the feeling of being accepted and wanted for all of me, just, every pore. Where a fence is only necessary to support a beautiful climbing rose 🙂
That’s a lovely way to look at it 😊
I love this, you’ve managed to create something incredibly thought provoking with just a handful of words, which is awesome and it was awesome to see you in the F4T link-up again xxx
Thank you! Life’s been getting in the way lately but it’s good to be writing again x
Home for me is a someone not a place
