Hello! Here’s a little bit about me for my fellow Eroticon 2019 attendees.
Name: Zebra Rose. You can call me Rosie, as that’s much less effort
Tell us 3 things you are most looking forward to at Eroticon 2019
1. Meeting in person the lovely people I’ve become acquainted with online over my first year of sex blogging, and reuniting with the friends I made last year
2. The fab lineup of speakers – I haven’t quite decided which sessions I’m going to go to, as I want to see them all! Some tough choices to make and I’ll probably change my mind several times before I get there. The session I will definitely have to turn up to is my own – I’m kinda nervous about it because I’m relatively new to this community, but it’s a topic I’m very passionate about so hopefully that will carry me through.
3. Simply being able to talk about sex and kink openly and fearlessly with people who are interested in the topic also and have lots of fascinating things to say.
We are creating a play list of songs for the Friday Night Meet and Greet. Nominate one song that you would like us to add to the play list and tell us why you picked that song.
“Peculiar People” by Mutemath. I love this track because it celebrates diversity with an uplifting message and has a great rock/reggae vibe
What is your favorite item or book you’ve purchased so far this year?
That’s a tricky one….I actually detest shopping so I can’t even think of anything significant I’ve bought this year….I have just bought myself a new e-reader which is very fast and light. As I get through about five or six books a week, having one little gadget to carry them around on is very handy.
You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?
High-speed internet connectivity! It’s the gateway to knowledge, entertainment, interaction….without all the cognitive and emotional effort of trying to process nonverbal cues or filter out environmental distractions. Socialising in person is great but it takes a lot out of me, whereas I can chat endlessly in written words without using up too many beans.
What is your favourite quote from a movie?
“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die”
What is your word suggestion to next years Eroticon anthology?
…therefore I am. More accurate than Descartes’ version perhaps – so much of human cognition happens under the conscious surface and as a post-hoc rationalisation of our instinctive and emotional reactions. Don’t start me off, but I love a good old philosophical geek-out about the nature of humanity…
I’m really excited about this event! A huge thank you to the organisers for doing such a brilliant job. You can read the other Meet and Greet posts here.
